History and About Tika Ram Kanya Mahavidyalaya Aligarh:

Tika Ram Government College first opened on July 1, 1936 as a middle school, later it was developed as a high School for girls in July 1944, after the progression of college, it affiliated to intermediate school, and it is consecutively as Tika Ram Girls Inter College under Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra (in the past Agra university, Agra).

Late 1957, Tika Ram affiliated for Degree College commencing Agra University. After getting reorganization to B.A. classes from Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra; TRG College had incased insist of higher education for Aligarh District’s girls and women.

TR College’s Higher education established by V.C. of A.M.U. { Aligarh Muslim University} and President of India- Late Dr. Zakir Hussain after foundation of Aligarh Medical Collage.

In July 1963, Tika Ram Girls College moved to post graduation (P.G.) after getting affiliation from Agra University. In addition, it started B.Sc. classes for Zoology, Botany and Chemistry subjects. In 1971, it had started a grand course for B.Ed. girl’s students under university rules.

Thus, it was first Government College for girls’ education in Aligarh, today TRG has become the top Girls P.G. College of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Today same colleges adopt the form of only postgraduate girls college in Aligarh but Tikaram is one of the leading Girls P.G. College of Uttar Pradesh with a well furnished, safe and comfortable big Girls Hostel inside the college campus inaugurated by first Prime minister of India Late Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru in 1964.

TR College is proficient to make available the additional facilities to girls students. College Library having a big amount of books (approx 40,000) including National and International journals for research and awareness of the subjects.

Also, some more facilities are available in college like:  Kamla Nehru Girls Hostel, non residential students centre, N.C.C. It was the dream for girls and boys to get free laptop, but the plan of laptop distribution has been change now all students will not able to get free laptop from government.

CBSE, ICSE and Model boarding school are so far, UP board’s students are not in full list to get free laptop.

Government has launched tender for 18 lacks PC laptops and tablets, when from 10^th class 29.80 lacks and from intermediate 23.99 lacks students has passed the examination in 2012. According to this tender only 1/3 %, students will get benefit of free laptops and tablets. Other 35.79 lacks high school and inter mediate students will not able to achieve this scheme.

UP government has announced to provide laptops before but it is a big deal to offer laptop to all students. With that, Government is not able to buy laptops due to laptop and tablets companies did not assembled more devices yet.

Not only has the final date for submission of tenders sourced on October 30, until now the company have not tender. Government has Communicate with international companies to buy laptops and tablets preparation now. Tablets and laptops crises, yet planning application form format to determine that cannot completed.
